I Am Not Your Asian American Doll: a comic for AAPI Heritage Month 2023
I usually spend a lot of time editing and fine-tuning my comics so that they come across as polite and inoffensive. But honestly, I’m really tired of the way Asian cultures and countries are treated / talked about while Asian people themselves are excluded, and thought it was about time I really let my rage out lol.
I don’t think people on this website understand what “you should love jewish people more than you hate nazis” means
do you hate nazis because they’re fun to hate on and easy to ratio? or because of the material harm they have caused, are causing, and will continue to cause? when you see a nazi, do you see an acceptable target? or do you see an active threat? what do you do to help jewish people outside of these situations? anything at all? do you have positive views on judaism? do you try to better yourself by listening to jewish voices on topics of bigotry?
I’m not going to complain about a nazi getting punched for being a nazi, but the issue isn’t as simple as just punching nazis. you need to love jewish people more than you hate nazis if you want to address the root causes of antisemitism

YES, this captures it perfectly. So many people tout “punch nazis” because they want something to practice dunking on while still feeling like a good person about it, but care very little about making real change. The type that secretly hopes they’ll run into a nazi irl so they can win an argument/fight, rather than wanting to avoid them at all costs. Or even better, hoping they see us in danger so they can swoop in and save the day.
They don’t love Jews more than they hate nazis because it was never about actually hating nazis. Sure they definitely still do, but it’s not why they became an “"activist.”“
